Beats In Space

On Friday 16th October, Warm return for the tenth installment of their Plastic People residency. This month they welcome one of the Warm Agency's key artist's, NYC's finest, Mr Tim Sweeney of Beats in Space and DFA fame. For this very special event Tim Sweeney will be playing all night long on Plastic People’s esteemed sound system!

Since Tim moved Beats in Space over to an FM frequency and began transmitting online via streams and podcasts via Beatsinspace.net, he has attracted a strong international following for the diverse range of artists and styles portrayed on the two-and-a-half hour program. In addition to Tim’s weekly mixes, assorted guests showcase their sounds. Guests have included Carl Craig, Padded Cell, The Avalanches, Optimo, Erol Alkan, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas and loads more.

As Beats in Space celebrates its 10th year anniversary it shows no sign of stopping and with a Beats in Space label in the pipeline, which will be releasing a very special Beats in Space compilation and series of 12"s and new T&T (Tim Sweeney and Time Goldsworthy) edits, it seems this is just the beginning of the Beats in Space empire!
